Fonzie said it best: "If you go around telling everyone that you're cool, you aren't cool."
Every 'alpha' I have ever encountered was called themselves that...nobody else did.

I find it weird when guys identify with highly social animals like wolves or lions and then describe themselves as anti-social asshats. When a male lion or wolf is unable to contribute to and participate in society, they are usually sick, injured, or otherwise waiting to die.

So... When someone says he's an "alpha", he's saying he was bred in captivity... Got it.

Always thought of ppl who say they're "alpha" same as artists who say "you just don't get it" derisively. They're excusing themselves from their own bad behavior by comparing themselves to assumed lacking in their peers.

So essentially humans can be Alpha, Beta and Omega wolves, but only when in prison?

That weirdly makes a horrific sense 🤔

Rick McIntyre is a scientist who has followed the Yellowstone wolf packs. He's written a trilogy of books, starting with 'The Rise of Wolf 8' and these books dispell all these "alpha male" myths. All the books are great reads.

I met a guy that actually called himself an alpha. We where on a project and I was calling him out for waisting my time and he took it as a challenge to his alpha status. He even called me an alpha and tried to use that to placate me by saying "we a both alpha I get it". Ignoring I was trying to figure why he waisted my time. He is absolutely sold the alpha male thing.

The dudes walking around claiming to be "Alpha" males always strike me as trying to compensate for something...

The flexibility of wolves' actual social structure makes a lot more sense than position and authority being attained/accepted by random "personality" which is unaffected by circumstances.

Whenever a dude calls himself alpha i say "ah, yes. First stage of product. Not suitable for general publication."

Full appreciation for the man who is trying to spread the word that he was wrong, takes massive guts to admit that even to yourself - let alone when the entire world believes your initial false conclusion

Every time I hear someone declare they are alpha I know that is an insecure person that desperately wants to dominate others but just can't be taken seriously.

I like to think of "alpha" males in the software sense - bug ridden and unrefined and missing basic features, which makes for a terrible user experience when you encounter them.

Every time someone refers to themselves as an "alpha male, " I just roll my eyes.

As someone who has been learning about wolves for a a decade or 3, I have been trying to tell folks this all the bloody time. So glad those with decent amounts of subscribers are putting it out there. Now if we could also get countries to stop brutally murdering them -especially looking at you Canada, US, and Norway...

"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die..."

The wolf is my favorite animal, the misconception irritates me.
I wish werewolf fandoms would stop promoting the alpha/omega/beta trope, It's insulting to such wonderful animals.and is a toxic mindset for society.

I love that wolves actually "vote" on what to do by sneezing

I keep telling this story all over YouTube whenever it comes up: years ago I started hearing about this 'alpha male' thing, so, naturally, I asked my dad what he thought. My late father was a CAF sniper, maintenance general supervisor, avid hunter, trapper, woodsman. I explained that some men are alpha males and others, betas. He laughed in my face. He then demanded that I tell him that I'm joking. I explained that I am not. After more teasing and head shaking, he finally said "it doesn't matter how big and tough a guy thinks he is, it's how fuckin mean he is, that counts" basically; dangerous men don't act like these idiots who consider themselves 'alphas' and to an actual, real life badass; its laughable.
