Another scam is that some suppliers try to manipulate buyers into leaving 5-star ratings.

I requested samples from one supplier. She said she'd send me 10 units but did the TA contract as if she was sending 5 units in 60 different items. When asked about the TA contract, she said it was to make her range of product visible on Alibaba. When the samples came they matched neither the contract nor what she agreed to in conversation.

She then refused to give me a refund and got upset with me for stating that I did not request or receive any of those 60 items and could not provide an honest review. Then asked me to give a better rating. Essentially, I was being asked to give 5-star ratings to products I had no knowledge about.

It makes me wonder how many products are out there with fake 5-star ratings
