Garuda Linux HyprLand Edition : Awesome WM Experience 🤩

This is the quick overview of Garuda Linux Hyprland edition which offers an awesome window manager experience out of the box. At the end of this video, I will show you how to install it on bare metal hardware.

For those who don’t know, Hyprland is a Wayland compositor based on WLROOTS offering smooth animations, dynamic tiling & easy configuration.

Damnnn hyperland is bussin!!! Neber actually used it before tho... Mostly use Desktop environment first time using window manager ... Hyperland mannn its so smooth and not so hard to learn the keybindings.... At this point i prefer the already made arch dot file from prasanthrangan. It’s a script to use after archistall and it contains much more polished features out of the box, plus it’s pure arch so you install only what you need and it has an automatic nvidia driver installer

I use it alongside gnome i am a writer i use hyprland extensively with manuskript autostart because it gives no distraction without any launcher with a keybind to open firefox and nautilus. I never needed wifi controls as everything seems to work flawless to my preconnected wifi.

Thanks man and great review. I plan on installing it and promptly getting rid of those hideous candy icons and other theming. Otherwise it looks pretty good

ArcoLinux also has its own Hyprland edition. It's called ArcoLinuxB Hyprland and can only be installed on bare metal.

This is my second favorite distro next to Mabox. i'm starting to like Hyperland as much as I do Openbox. Though I would say Openbox may be better for transitioning from windows to tiles.

I tried installing it with nvidia drivers and it would not pass from the lock screen. I got it to install on VM, though but it is very slow. I gave it 8GB RAM and 8 Cores.
