Exploring FIT Files from Garmin Watches: Challenges and Data Extraction

Hi, I'm diving deep into the world of Garmin watches, particularly focusing on their use of the FIT file format. In my latest exploration, I've been analyzing an old Fit file from a Garmin device, which is about seven years old. I've encountered some challenges, such as an unusual header with unexpected data lengths and missing records. I'm particularly interested in extracting PPG (photoplethysmography) data, which involves heart rate and blood oxygenation levels. Throughout the video, I discuss how these data points are timestamped individually, rather than having a set sampling rate. I also touch on other innovative projects, like converting EEG signals to music and creating music from hand gestures.
