Shawn Clement has advocated this type of drill for over a decade. Perpetual motion. The steps are an addition to be fair. I like what Shawn says because he wants you to imagine you are making the foreswing to initiate the swing. You feel like you’re already moving versus jerking it back.

You appear to have a squat in the swing/drill during transition. Dr. Kwon encourages a move that Mike Austin did in his swing, back to target. In your swing you appear to be turning and opening up to early with a squat and turn. I expect the the question is level hips during the swing or is it high trail hip during backswing with lead hip becoming high as you swing into the wall with out swaying?

For me this is one of the simplest but most effective drills I’ve ever tried. Something that really gets the timing and balance calibrated before a round!

I was trying this the other day on the range. I like that all I was thinking about was the drill….nothing related to shoulder turn, etc….I was hitting balls with the steps and hit them better than with my “normal” swing thoughts.

*By reversing the plane of the backswing to the downswing and the downswing to the backswing this would be insane a body-driven pivot.*

Your swing has developed absolutely amazingly. The way you "shallower" now, is almost worthy of a tour pro :-) It looks quite natural. However, you are still a bit "flippy" through impact. If you get control of that and your shortgame - you are ready for the mini-tour ...

This works if you know what a good swing feels like. Also helps you find your low point.

This is almost as perfect as my drill...do some cartwheels, do a breakdance flare, into a moonwalk, and a backflip, then hit the golfball. Works everytime.

I am not new to golf, but almost like to go back and learn fundaments/proper swing mechanics. After watching most videos and looking at the blog, I am confused. Where should someone start?

Have really enjoyed latest videos, just seems like your not keeping your back to the target long enough on down swing. In your video you really looked better when you did that. I only notice it because I have the same issue.
