❓What’s your favorite scene in this episode? 🤓
📣 FYI:
1 - I’m now aware of my misunderstanding about Sadavir’s actions with Gillis 😊

2 - Here’s what I’ve concluded so far about Naomi’s reaction to Chrisjen’s statement: She may have realized the serious danger she’s put the Belters in by giving them the Proto sample. Since Chrisjen approves of nuking IO because of the Proto experiments, she could use the same reasoning to kill Belters for having the Proto too. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I like the polaroid cards during the aftershow discussion. Those are a great idea and work really well to show what you are talking about.

No spoilers:
First thing, I like that you are paying attention to Amos and Prax. When Amos said the only way to escape Baltimore was to die and Prax asked how he got out Amos said he died! And we all laugh when Amos tells Chrisjen about walking in mag boots is like walking in pumps. She ask how he knows what's it like walking in pumps? He says he didn't always work in space. Just another nugget about Amos.
The banter between Chrisjen and Naomi, Naomi thinks that the reason Chrisjen wants a sample for Earth is to eventually hurt belters but doesn't know Chrisjen's true goal is to stop a war and save as many lives as possible. Chrisjen is also learning a lot being out in the middle of the shit as we call it and interacting with Martians and Belters to give her a different perspective. She she as harbored hard feelings for both adversaries because of the loss of her son.

No spoilers: I'm looking forward to seeing how you manage your season rankings this time, as it's pretty much non-stop bombshells and cliffhangers from here on out.

The thing about Mao canceling the program isnt just because he connected with Mei. Hes a really smart, albeit not particularly moral guy. He knows that the protomolecule is a highly advanced technology with alien origins that we dont understand. That it is here, and doing something they dont understand, and very nearly destroyed earth, is in his mind the most important thing there is. He knows it has much more important things to learn from it than just how to use it to create super soldiers. The hybrids were not the intent of the program, understanding the protomolecule is. The hybrids were just a side effect of it, and one he could market to the planets in order to secure access to the protomolecule and run the studies of it to further his goals of understanding it. Testing on children is worth it to him in order to gain that understanding, because it very well could be some kind of alien weapon sent to wipe us out and it is more important to find out what it is doing than it is to save the lives of a handful of Belter kids. The fact that Earth and Mars are going to war over it frustrates him immensely, now Earth is sending their flagship to take over the program from him just to get super soldiers out of it, and the tests havent resulted in anything more consequential than super soldiers yet. It serves no good purpose to throw Meis life away just to make another super soldier.

You're right that Errinwright was putting the blame of the nuclear attack on Volovadov.
I found "I didn't always work in space" initially funny, but then troubling. We know that he spent his childhood in brothels and that he knows how to entertain pedophiles. He described to Prax the situation of the children of prostitutes being forced into child prostitution. So I'm troubled by the image of a young Amos in pumps. I found it interesting that Amos knew "Frankenstein" was the name of the scientist, not the monster. That suggests Amos read the book instead of merely watching an old movie, and perhaps Amos had been researching whether the actions of a monster are the fault of the monster...or its maker. Or that the writers Ty and Daniel want us, the audience, to contemplate that question with regard to Amos.
Avasarala told Naomi that "good" Belters would be better off if they defied the OPA. That's the same kind of thing African-Americans were told in the past about the NAACP and every other organization of black people pushing for better treatment and opportunities. It always rings false because those organizations only come about because those in power, like Avasarala, make them necessary. What Earth organization looks after the welfare of Belters, or protects Belters from Earther oppression?

No spoilers,

Yes Strickland is another Dresden, but the part I find disturbing is his staff.
Dresden's staff had their heads fixed like cortasar and they where pretty violent, stricklands staff is not violent and working on children.
They must be pretty messed up.
