Once you finish the prologue in Genshin Impact and hit Adventure Rank 20 a lot of features open up and you can move on to the 2nd region of the game, Liyue. For the launch of the game if you can hit Rank 20 before Update 1.1 you will receive a free Barbara. She is a Hydro Catalyst user and she can also heal her allies which is a handy ability to have. Since you can’t use items in the Spiral Abyss having a healer on the team makes things much safer.

some added tips:

-if you haven’t pushed as far as you can in the Spiral Abyss, do it. it’ll give you 100 primogems per floor completed with 3 stars! floors 9-12 will only give you 50 per.

-explore as hard as you can. unlocking all teleport points and statues of the nine will not only allow you to stumble upon so much loot, it will also net you a ton of ADV rank XP, since each teleporter gives you 50 xp.

-don’t advance your world rank until you know you’re ready! i advanced to world rank 4 WAY too quickly and im struggling pretty hard to farm for materials :<

-don’t worry about set bonuses too much. they are the very top of the “optimal gear” pyramid, while basic stats like attack% and health are the bottom. focus on putting attack% on all your DPS units, and HP on your Barbara + Qiqi. set bonuses are pretty much irrelevant until about rank 35.

Liyue is my favorite region in the game the music in the region is so good and the places are beautiful! Especially the highest floating island
