Disney is Investing $60 BILLION in Further World Domination

The Walt Disney Company just announced their plans for the next few years, which includes a $60 billion investment and a HUGE expansion to Disney World (and other Walt Disney theme parks). What can we expect from this? Will Disney manage to grow even further in entertainment?

I’m genuinely wondering if Disney’s true fall will ever happen, they have plenty of money, even if their empire did collapse, they’d have enough money to start over again

So far the wildest idea for me is their plans to create residential neighborhoods. I like Disney but I wouldn't necessarily want to move to a neighborhood specifically designed by them.

It's scary just how much Disney can afford to invest despite its recent failures. It'll be interesting to see whether it pans out and the become more powerful than ever, or if they'll really start to crash and burn.

I always made jokes that Disney would buy the whole earth and we would be their property and then I saw the title of the video and I was like oh shit, but then I saw the video and I was relieved that wasn’t the case

I feel I wish if Walt Disney was alive right now, he would’ve told the company to expand these plans better by paying their employees, artists, animators, directors, and workers with money. I just hope Bob Iger steps down as CEO in 2026, a new CEO would’ve stepped in and made changes to these expansions and undoing the bad choices Bob Iger and Bob Chapek did. Disney doesn’t deserve the world, the people deserve the world more.

If Disney really wants to expand, why couldn't they just use the money to pay their artists, animators, writers, filmakers, vfx workers (including Marvel) etc. Walt himself would've loathe this.

2017: Disney buys 20th Century Fox.
2019: Disney buys Hulu.
2050: Disney owns the world.
2100: Disney owns the universe.
