Funny PS2 was mentioned. That was one of the primary reasons my parents got me one as a kid for X-mas because it doubled as a DVD player. Those were the days. Back when you had to spend like $30-50 for an 8MB memory card just to save your games.

What do you mean remember? DVDs are still being made and sold on the daily. That's how I still buy all my movies.

I remember getting my first CD player in the eighties, it was almost $500. I bought one cd George Michaels Faith - when I put it in I was blown away - I could hear his breath between words. Lol

I don't know when it's from, but my stepdad still has the ancient DVD player we got back when we still used analog cable sitting next to our TV.

DVDs is still relevant today especially if you hate sign up service’s. And dvds expiration date is over 100 years and even up to 200 years of you keep them safe. I still buy the today since I love owning my stuff non digitally.

I had one of an early Toshiba DVD player very similar to the model shown in the vid that I got around 1998 I think for Christmas. Memories. I watched “One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest” on it as my first DVD movie.

Oh man. Saturday evenings, my cousin would come over and sleep over. We'd rent some Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee movies and watch a bunch of movies until late at night. While using my PS2's DVD function. What a time.

I remember, the first DVD I've got for our first DVD Player, was a double-sided DVD.. Yes, you had to eject and flip the DVD in the middle of the movie 😂 But the picture quality was insane, compared to the VHS
