Over the last 4 months I’ve increased my salt intake to around 1.5 tablespoons per day and reduced my BP from 130/80 to 110/60.

The other difference is I cut out almost all carbs and eat high fat and moderate protein.

Whole foods, nothing processed, salt to taste.

Work that out…

The problem is that a lot of groceries/eateries outside don't provide more options or choices for low-sodium alternatives, so its not something we actively think about. Compared to lower in sugar (with HPB's Nutri grades for drinks for example), which is much more visual and easier way to be aware of cutting or reduce sugar in drinks. Even recently, most ppl don't know there are low sodium soya sauce or low sodium salt alternatives available in supermarkets.

salt is not a 'cooking essential'. it's dumb comments like this which are responsible for poor health. the only 'essential' you need for cooking is heat and food. do you drink coffee with sugar? no, me neither. if you order coffee and sugar is added you're going to return it and ask wtf - right? salt (like sugar) is an unneccesary additive since pretty much everything you eat contains salt. ditto sugar. stop eating salt. do it. at first it will be difficult because you're used to the keep going and very soon you'll get used to it. 'chefs' are to blame because chefs are dumb and think you have to throw salt over food because 'hey i'm a chef and that's what we do'. i can't eat in restaurants now because the food is too salty. if it's too salty for me then it's because salt is being added. stop eating salt.

I’ve been on a very low sodium or sometimes zero salt at all because i had atrial
fibrillation and it caused my body to have an edema and got very sick! Now i maintained my ideal weight and good health!

I have had to go low sodium because I am salt sensitive and it drives up my blood pressure dramatically. I now avoid eating out just for the reasons you showed in the video. Also I have had to dramatically change my cooking. One disadvantage is when you get used to low salt cooking then when you go out, things taste unpleasantly salty.

Why was it disgusting when pork was cooked with no salt?

I take WHO advice with a pinch of salt. Salt is preservative and flavour.

Moderation is the keyword.
