Do you know what would happen with an egg if you left it in Cola for 24 hours? Let’s debunk this science experiment! Spoiler alert: viral videos showing that Cola turns an egg into a ball are just examples of Fake Science. However, you could get a similar result but with vinegar instead.

I just did this on my chemistry project. I use a Distilled White vinegar and sometimes you can't see the results within 24 hours, its usually take up to 2 to 5 days to fully dissolved the shell.

Materials
Egg (no cracks)
Distilled White vinegar (clear color)
Glass (to hold the egg)
*the egg must be submerge on the acid. B

"So let me get this straight, You drink a completely black liquid that is named after a drug a it doesn't seem dangerous to you at all!?"

"it can also remove rust"

Mom: What shall we do with egg after that?
Me: We can use it as stress ball all the time...😉

Put the egg in the vinegar. Maybe in a few days the shell will take off. The egg will be soft, translucent. However, caution can cause it to rupture when pressed harder😁

In Korea we have a side dish that is similar to the cola egg but instead of cola it’s submerged in soy sauce and is fermented it’s called “Gyeran jangjorim”. Just wanted to share my culture, have a good day!

we did this in highschool but we did it differently. so, we put the egg in vinegar and it obviously dissolved the shell. and then, we put that same egg into syrup and it got super thick and it was super interesting to see. finally, we put that same egg again, into water. and it sort of drained the syrup out of the egg, making the soft outer layer, turn into a shriveled up raisin like layer. it was super cool to go through lol.

You can also soak bones in vinegar for a week or so and they will feel like rubber. Me and my childhood friend Samantha were science fair Partners in third grade, we did this experiment with eggs and Chicken Wing Bones. We won 1st place! Those were the good days...R.I.P Sam💙

Let solve it with the help of chemistry:
Egg shell is made of CaCO3,
When egg is placed in vinegar CH3COOH, then its reaction occurs as;
Vinegar dissolves all the calcium carbonate or solid shell of egg which left behind egg with soft and thin shelled egg, not rubbery egg
