Judeu was an underrated character for me. He was the only person to have a good conversation with guts whenever they are just chilling

I always loved how Guts adopted some traits from his fallen comrades. He got huge like Pippin, he’s got Judeau’s knifes, and he became an asshole(kinda justified)like Corkus

Pippin’s death is the kind all men secretly want to have. A death where we hold off uncountable enemies to let our friends escape. Man died a fucking hero 😢

Gaston as an honorable mention, definitely not nearly as prevalent as Judeau or Pippin but it still hurt seeing him on screen knowing the eclipse was coming.

I still feel like the gravity of Judeus death is never fully touched upon. Hes the reason guts opened up, he was the first to welcome him into the band of the hawk and he was the first real friend he ever made. He was the first person to treat guts like a person and open his mind up to a life with trust, friendship and even love.

He was also the first warrior since going out on his own that Guts acknowledged as skilled enough that he could learn from him (throwing knives, which imo lead to his openess of small bombs and other equipment during the Blackswordsman arc)

Pippith was such a great character, he doesn't speak, but when he does it's something big, and he's as gentle as can be.

He was just as strong physically as guts they had to kill him off because if he survived him and guts together. Unstoppable Duo of strength especially because if he survived the author would have to give him a bump up in power like a bunch of other characters had and who knows how strong he would be then

Another sad story weaved into that arc was when guts was calling for corkus.
The only one that cared for corkus enough to call out to him despite nobody looking out for corkus

When the band went down it was a sucker punch, when Judeu dies it broke my heart, especially since he tried to tell Casa that he loved her and didn't get the chance. Anyone who's ever had that happen to them knows how horrible of a feeling that is. Well done Berserk 👏
