Calculating Corridor Structural Volumes using Civil 3D

preview_player
Показать описание
The trick to calculating corridor structural volumes is knowing the shape codes used in the assemblies. Since each closed shape in a Civil 3D subassembly is given a code (or “name”), corridor materials can be calculated by simply extracting the volume of selected named shapes. In this session we’ll explore a workflow that extracts several structural material volumes from a roadway corridor model.

Thank you very much. The video is very much informative. Can you please make a video in civil 3d for design of road which have drain on both sides . The drain joins by slope of road and drain and road are have opposite design level.

How do you get the total volume per material? Just sum the data on the reports (for each matl of course)? Or is there a quicker way from C3D? Thanks!

Great tutorial! I've been doing the same steps but when to select the corridor shapes when computing materials, Civil 3d wont show any options to me, even tho my shapes on code set styles are all set.. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thank you! Is it possible to apply materials to layers for the assembly without having to apply the assembly to a corridor to produce Section Views? I asked because I just need draft cross section views on assemblies for future roadways, not proposed roadways.

Thanks again!

Jeff, I am unable to use the 'compute materials' command as no alignment or sample line group appears when I try it. However, I have created multiple alignments, corridors and intersections. Any ideas on why?? Thanks.
