I think the car should've came with AWD, especially for that asking price. They're already hitting the limits of how much power you can send to the front wheels, and with that tune, it's likely to obliterate the front tires.

That wheel tire package really sells how much wider the car is. Damn good looking!

It's good to see that modern tuners will allow us to keep some modern features.

Thank you for sharing. 😊

$2000 for a tune is crazy. I could see $800 for a pro-tune on the dyno.

I paid 50k for this car... It is my mid life crisis car. I will be polishing the clear coat in 30 years like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino

Hello, my ITS presently has the transmission removed due to clutch failure. 6500 miles. Dealer and Acura are being very supportive. I am the only driver, sooo...only me to blame. But I don't feel that I drove it as aggressive as you might have. Most of my fun is found going fast, not drag racing. BTW mine is the 705th made. Just thought you might like to know.

I'm sure all that extra wheel hop can be attributed to the greatly increased camber (and greatly decreased contact patch) + the increased torque. I can only imagine how bad it would have been with the stock Michelins.

Can the Type S/CTR run an ethanol blend with the stock fuel system? I have the ‘22 WRX and we can also get ~320whp from a stock car tuned on 93 octane, but I got 360whp with an e60 tune on my otherwise stock car, and now I’m making 383whp/415ft-lbs with an intake and upgraded top mount intercooler. My total spent for the Accessport, etune, intake and intercooler was $1805.

Just making conversation btw. Not coming here to say my car is better. I wish I could have cross-shopped a CTR but I live up in the mountains where we get lots of winter weather.

Tires were pretty caked in mud for a minute, could hear the mud flinging off, definitely didn’t help your traction issues coincidentally in the very start of the drive here. I would actually lengthen the overall final gearing a bit with the increase in power and the lower rev limit these new 4 cylinders have.

Hondata should be the first power upgrade. I have a Type R instead of the Type S but they are really similar. If 1st gear is too much you can very easily just copy over the torque target tables from comfort or copy the tables into excel and with some basic math blend between them by a desired percentage.

For example on my car I kept comfort stock and put sport halfway between stock and +R.

$2k for that tune is CRAZY! My APR Stg 1 93 on my ‘22 GTI pulls 321.2 whp and 349.7 wtq for $600. Bolt-ons and I/C nets an additional 20whp and 35wtq. E60 is about 370 whp and 410 wtq also only $600. And no fuel system upgrade required. It must be a fueling is on the K20C. But yeah. $2k is wild.

I don't think the car needs more power, it needs rwd. Btw the discrepancy on some of the paneling is plain horrible for that price

Question for all the tuning/ modding Civic/Integra guys in comments - knowing that +100 F/40 C track days are quickly sneaking up on us, what are the best ways to manage heat soak, without voiding the warranty?!
It's not really a viable option if you have to void that pristine warranty just to get more than 2 laps on a summer's day in my new Integra. Also, many owners in the forums are reporting that with bolt on air intake/ fuel mods, the stock turbo is basically maxed out with a reasonable tune (I'm not looking to swap out to a larger turbo/ void warranty YET).

While you were driving I noticed the sound proofing in this car is really well made.

Back in late 90s I had an eclipse GS-T and was putting down 400 hp and traction, wheel hop, torque steer, etc was such an issue I went awd with a GSX and an Evo and I told myself never again with a FWD.

Still watching, but my initial comment is that Hondata woke the shit up outta my 10th gen. Night and day.

It’s not 2k for the Hondata. it’s $1130. $795 for the flash pro and $275 +$60 US to ship back.

Those seats and guage cluster are unacceptable for that car. I'll say type R is the adult version of the two. It feels way more special (type r) compared to the acura, the interior is superior and more luxurious looking on the Type R, the acura has a scat pack like widebody on it, the hondas fenders are blended in, its crazy they try to play off the Acura as the adult version.
