Nice and very helpful. I’m here in MD. I had a few growing and the dreaded groundhog pull them down. So I figured I’ll try again next year. But you said we can plant seeds in August, I’m so happy because, today I got my little garden surrounded by netting, hoping it works. Thank you 🤗🌱

So cool! I grew mammoth snow peas this year for the first time and boy was it productive! I will be planting them again in the fall (technically the end of summer). I may just try sugar snap peas this time to see how different they are to grow. It’s usually hard to get my peas to do well here in zone 8b east Texas (aka land as hot as Hades 😅). Unless I plant them very early spring or late winter. I keep trying in the fall though! 🤷🏻‍♀️Someday it might work lol.

Imo they groe best in late summer to fall harvest. A light frosts make them sweeter. Planting in spring the summer warm up always kills mine and not as sweet.

Do you know how hard it is to find that pearler tidbit..
"Peas don't need a lot of fertiliser, just compost at the beginning"!!
I'm growing in pots due to room, all I was looking for was (knowing they're a good nitrogen replenisher), do I need to fertilise, how much, how often. It's taken me a full week of stumbling around d YouTube to find what you just stated so simply!! Thank you. 🙌😁🙏🏽 And Happy Easter. 🐰

I planted my pea sapplings with individual sticks. 2 months later and I've gotten one of them 180° sticks and now they're in a big hooked Bush (I'm a new gardener) any advice🙃
