I love Pocket Camp Complete. This scratches itches I've had with Pocket Camp for years. Getting those backgrounds, foregrounds, and fortune cookies is so much more satisfying. And i kinda like Whistle Pass!

I personally don't like designing a lot but i just REALLY enjoy getting my friendship up with the villagers, crafting their favorite furniture so I can invite them to my campsite and participating in the events so even if you don't enjoy designing too much this game could still be a lot of fun for you!

it has been a very graceful transition to a one-time purchase game! as a ftp player before its fun having access to all the "premium" services id normally skip on. the leaf tokens have much more generous pricing too, so i feel more ok buying cookies and collecting furniture! it really encourages me to start decorating again especially now that i can save layouts

my one complaint is how slow interacting with human villagers are, you just walk around guessing who will give you shovel quarry help and gifts. i wish they could also stand around in other areas so i could naturally talk with them while i do tasks, makes the areas feel less empty too

Honesty, I have been loving this game, and i was finally able to buy foregrounds after years of wanting them LOL

kinda wish it would have still had the friend system because that was also a important part of the game and seeing it get wiped is kinda sad.

I've been playing the og since the beginning, my only problem was really how expensive everything was, and how getting leaf tickets took a long time (I've always been F2P because Nintendo likes to make everything in my country super expensive), just after 6 days of playing the Complete version I got my dream items and clothes, I miss interacting with my friends, but I'm more satisfied now than in 7 years of playing, and I really liked the new friend cards! a much better choice than simply deleting the entire friendship system

I'm still saving the leaf tokens out of habit, but I'm slowly getting used to the fact that I can really spend it on anything without worrying later

The game is perfect for people who are too busy to play the main Animal Crossing games but still want to scratch that Animal Crossing itch (like me lol).

I paid for it. It’s nice being able to actually get fortune cookies. You got very little unless you spent money in the old version. It’s a nice little AC experience for on the go. Well worth $10. Get it before the price increases.

This makes Pocket Camp finally a great experience without toxic micro transactions. A actual animal crossing experience like we are used to!

gripes i have so far:

-not all of my friends list transferred
-islands look so empty now unless i call up other villagers to pad them out i dont understand why friends couldn't still be dotted around islands as well as the new area
- friendship levels arent locked behind upgrade amenities which means there is no point for amenities and upgrading them
-pokcet journal events don't guve double items now which means that you can only get one of something.

other than that it's a great game.

For me, 100%.
I've invested a lot over the couple of years. Not money, because I've always been a free user in the past.
But I've invested time and effort.

The main fomo (fear of missing out) is gone. No daily log in bonus means if I did forget, I don't feel I missed out there.
We still have the monthly events, but it feels less urgent to me.
I feel like I'm getting better catch rates for the bugs in the flowers.
I can finally use the save function for outfits, camp and cabin layouts. Stickers too.

I'm hoping we won't need any updates to the program tho, because this means I'll never have to worry about my phone going obsolete, like last time.
Used to play on an old tablet, but it aged out after the first year.
So not needing to update constantly is a relief.
Means even if I get a new phone, I can keep the one I have, with pocket camp working (and all my music too lol. Giant MP3 player XD)

I like how your friends at Whistle Pass can help you get into Shovelstrike Quarry, and they can help you multiple times a day-up to two time I think. I got in twice today by asking for help and the reward was reissue material.

so worth it! i love it so much more now that leaf tokens are abundant and everything costs less. it’s way more chill without the micro transaction menus every few minutes. i wish more games did this. i would much rather pay $5-10 for a *complete* experience than being tempted with dozens of micro transactions or subscriptions just to have a more fun experience.

Before, getting a 5 pack of fortune cookies or a single fortune cookie was so hard since it was so expensive, now with a level up alone you can get 10 cookies, same with the special seasonal items, they were always so expensive.

I also like that there’s no villager level cap based on the amenities anymore, makes it easier to level up rather than relying on 1 personality king, and the Camp Caretaker to beat tasks for you while odf being included after being a paid service is cool.

The only thing that I'm really worried about is the risk of losing my save data! I know that having it 100% offline was essential, but I still really wish we had cloud saves, like how ACNH does. I know we have the "7 day" feature, but they get deleted afterwards! I'm used to the era of gaming where everything was offline, but when it comes to phones, not having backup options is bizarre.

It would be really nice to just have *something* we could use as a hard-copy save somewhere, especially since phones can be so finnicky. Even a "download save data" feature would be all I needed. I could store it on my computer or upload it to my personal storage somewhere. The only other major mobile game I know of that doesn't allow this is Neko Atsume, and it's 10 years old. (Oh my gosh, how is it 10 years old already....)

What I personally like about the complete version: it's way easier to obtain leaf tokens than tickets. In the old game, I maybe got 10 tickets a month, now I can get around 100 tokens every day (when I'm active).

The purchase was absolutely worth it for me, it’s a game that means a lot to me. I played many hours during the pandemic while raising a newborn. This game made late night feedings feel less alone. I miss the interactions with other players but I still enjoy it. I hope they can include a showcase of other players campsite design maybe with a qr or game code.

The answer is YES, i was a free to play player only and i used to be so sad bc i wasnt able to get any items, now I can play the way i want and its soooo amazing with all the quality of life updates they made, like shortening craft time and being able to use custom patterns from AC new horizons. Its amazing.
