Cool interview. It's worth noting that Nicole Kidman paid $98, 000 for the guitar, and it's not "THE" Tele. The one that Kidman purchased for Keith Urban was actually Waylon's #2 Tele. Waylon's family currently has possession of the guitar Paul is talking about.

The Dukes Of Hazzard intro guitar referred to is yet another one entirely. Waylon had a number of Teles wrapped in similar leather covers in the '70s.

Hate to say it but Keith Urban bought the guitar with the black pick guard for I think it was $110, 000. The broadcaster with the white pick guard is still with the Jennings family.

Interesting story on the origin of the Tele even though he got the facts wrong about the Urban buy. It is amazing that even those that are directly involved can get the facts messed up. CgoddamnNK got them straight.
