In this video, I attempt to build an Android-powered Gaming/Emulation/Media PC for a friend of mine.
I was able to pick up a used Lenovo M800 SFF desktop with 8GG of ram and an i3 6100 CPU for $72 shipped.
Added a 240Gb SSD and USB Wifi/Bluetooth adapters and install Android X86 PrimeOS.
This machine turned out pretty great for Native android games like PubG, Minecraft, Hearthstone and many more and as a bonus, it runs PSP, Sega Saturn, N64 and Gamecube at full speed

When you spend big $$$$ its not as exciting as when a cheap build performs better than expected!

Your friend is lucky to have a friend like you! Unfortunately, now I'm thinking of building one of these for myself. Most of my Android devices don't have the power to run most of this software, but it looks like this repurposed PC eats all this stuff for breakfast and asks for seconds.

Sweet! By the looks of things, PrimeOS with RetroX should make for a great retrogaming combo! 👍🏼

Woah that's a neat setup. Considering how much trouble RPIs have with PSP and N64 emulators and video Streaming at almost €80 (after you add storage, dongle, case, power supply) this is a pretty good alternative!

Actually, there is a way to bypass the fornite requirement thingy. You have to use gl tools and fake the gpu to an adreno 530, I tried fortnite with an overclocked snapdragon 810 and the results were not very favourable. You also have to use magisk, and one hide root access for fortnite and two use the renamed magisk package in the magisk settings. If anyone is wondering, fornite runs between 5 and 20 fps on an overclocked snapdragon 810 (2Ghz across all cores, all cores enabled and 700Mhz on the GPU) at low settings, 1080p 37.5% resolution scale.

Interesting video, I thought of running Android x86 but then I hear PRIME OS.

Now I’m really interested to try it out.

I love that the link to “240GB SSD, ” in the doobleydo, links to _a search for “240GB SSD, ” on Amazon...

_That’s awesome!_ I wish he’d make an instructional video about how to search Amazon (and a follow-up about how to copy-and-paste a URL!)...
