Ah the F1 manager strategy of having the best car by needing to replace the parts every other race 😂

one engineer says another engineer did something wrong. Thats never happened before LOL

Breaking news! Redbull says the new McLaren is risky after McLaren themselves said they were going with a risky design. SHOCKING!!!

THIS is basically what F1 is about. Chasing advantages by testing out new engineering and balancing it out against weight savings and reliability.

I think these suspension components might be put under higher stress tests by a certain RB driver than braking/cornering loads

Yeah, Wache calling a car that's faster than them 'risky' is pretty on brand for Red Bull.

Translation: Shit, we didn’t think of that.
Also, I see McLaren had loads of parts failures during race runs in testing…… oh no, wait.

Or is he just worried it’ll look bad when Lando’s suspension breaks every time Max sideswipes him this year.
I reckon it’ll be fine, Max will be too far behind 😂

Red Bull definitely win the title year after year for complaining about ALL the other teams and vigorously denying ALLcomplaints from other teams about THEIR dubious or questionable designs and modifications.

Even if they have to add weight to make the suspension stronger/beefier, if it makes them faster and they're still in the weight limit, do you think they care? 😂

Well, they racked up over 380 laps, so clearly no reliability isssues there

Anti-dive adds a torque loading in addition to brake loading. It is predictable and can be calculated into FEA for adding appropriate Youngs Modulus to compressed elements, and increased tensile strength to tension elements. Not a big deal if the parts are properly modeled under dynamic simulation.

Seemed McLaren did ok this weekend 🤷🏼‍♂️

It is true what he’s saying… the greater angle and positioning of the wishbones increases the moment during a collision. Think tapping the wall at Monaco *or* banging wheels with a certain Dutchman 😂

Redbull crying again because they didn't think of it.

They stopped pronouncing Pierre Wache as “Va-Shay”. Now it’s “Vash”.

That was nice of him to point out a potential weakness.

Is suspension a part of unsprung or spring weight?

"bolt design".. right, they are exploring the boundries of the rules again

I don't wish reliability issues for mclaren but I gotta say, I would be quite interesting to see some front suspension elements breaking under heavy braking.

I don't know how much these suspension members cost, but if it can make it through a race weekend and is unambiguously faster--I sincerely doubt McLaren cares and will happily build a new set every weekend.
