My dads lake house in Monticello Indiana there's a lake. I used to invite my friends to go up to the lake house so we could fish all day catching them suckers. Honestly, it's only a hook or two (maybe 3) above what u use to catch them if u wanna try a cat fish or a bass. But still, blue gills make for great fishing. Stick ur lure right under the boat at the dock and aim for the dark spots in the water. The real small fuckers will just nibble amd take your bait. You actually gotta wait for the more mature ones to notice ya, those be the ones you wanna reel up to the surface 👍

I love catching bluegill on super light tackle. I have a custom chris barclay 3 weight fly rod that has the action of a pool noodle. Half the time bluegills have that thing bent in half. Theyre so fun to catch on that rod
