Climbers on rim of erupting volcano run for their lives

Climbers ran for their lives on the rim of a volcano in Indonesia as it erupted behind them, terrifying video from 17 August shows.

The group were scaling Dukono, an active volcano on Halmahera island.

They were climbing when a huge ash cloud emerged from the crater, billowing into the air.

The sudden cloud prompted the climbers to scramble quickly down the mountain to avoid the danger.

It has not been confirmed if any of the group sustained any injuries.

I realise that a portion of the world are so disconnected from nature that they lost all sense of danger. Its never the locals .

😂😂they are all safe and they are climbers from Indonesia. They climbed Mount DUKONO to commemorate Indonesia's anniversary on August 17 to celebrate Independence Day and the officers there had given warnings. because every time there is an earthquake several mountains will erupt almost at the same time because in Indonesia earthquakes occur 6-7 times a day randomly they have all been blacklisted
