In this segment we’ll give you an overview of the Swann Security menu for the Spotlight Outdoor Security Camera.

Given that the app gets updated as frequently as weekly, instructions on the video will match the app at the time of this video’s publication.

Open the menu and select a subcategory to:
• Update your profile name, account password, and location.
• Pair a new Swann device to your Swann Security account
• View, share, and delete video clips that were captured manually during live view
• Download the app user manual (PDF file) to your phone. For best viewing experience, open the user manual using Acrobat Reader
• Display app version information and access the terms of service and privacy policy
• Open the Swann Support Center website on your phone's web browser.
• And Sign out of the Swann Security app.

Tap “Device Settings” to find detailed technical information and configure various settings your devices.

Tap the “Name” button to rename your camera.

See your cameras connection state.

Tap “Time zone” to sync your time zone automatically or select a different one.

Tap “WI-FI SSID” to change your WI-FI network settings.
For best video performance, always connect your camera to the nearest Wi-Fi access point.

Observe the Wi-Fi signal strength indicator. In general, a shorter distance between camera and the Wi-Fi router increases signal strength, which results in an improved connection.

Tap “Camera settings” to adjust the camera's settings such as:
• Video stream quality,
• Image flip, image mirror
• Speaker volume
• And microphone volume

Tap “Motion settings” to adjust the camera's detection sensitivity settings for:
• Motion detection
• Person detection
• And sound detection

Tap “Storage” to access up to the last 2 days of event clips stored on the camera’s internal memory. *Space permitting

To clear the camera's internal memory, scroll all the way to the bottom of the Storage screen and tap the Format storage button.
Warning: This will permanently delete all local recordings.

Tap “Check for updates” to update firmware if available.

Tap “Admin” to perform general maintenance such as:
• Clear user settings
• Reboot the camera
• And factory reset.
Caution: A Factory reset will format the internal memory, wipe the current Wi-Fi information, and return all of the camera settings to factory default

Tap “Technical details” to view information such as the model name, firmware version, MAC address, and Wi-Fi IP address.

Tap “Remove this device” to unpair the camera from your Swann Security account. If you want to use the camera with a different Swann Security account or you give the camera to another user, make sure to unpair it first.
