This will be easy for SpaceX because they are a badass company.

I don't know why they don't just keep adding new modules and discard the old ones...
Why do they have to start from scratch every time?? It just seems like it's way more expensive to start over completely.

And the follow up jealousy lawsuit from Blue Origin will be in 3, 2, 1. .

I'm super bummed to see the ISS get dismantled. I hope we replace it with something bigger and better rather than just move on.

NASA have chosen well in SpaceX for this job. They're expert's at docking with the ISS and at precision re-entry. It'll be a sad but necessary end to the ISS.

SpaceX could do it with Dragon Capsules alone... EASILY...

Wonder if SpaceX will use a Starship variant to do this!?

That's one expensive demolition job. Didn't Mir de-orbit easily enough without a special tug?

Starship, bringing the American modules back so they can be displayed in a museum. I hope they survive the flip burn!

A better solution would be to have SpaceX put into a higher orbit. So much time and cost has gone into getting all that into orbit. About all that it would take is for SpaceX to get some extra fuel up there, dock and give it a nice speed increase.

If ISS can be brought back to earth safely, then it can be kept in museum.

Not much of a choice, Blue Origin have had 24 years and have still to get off the planet and Boeing can't remember how to make a capsule who's thrusters don't leak.

Why don't they boost it into a much higher orbit, above the atmospheric drag? It is at the height and inclination due to space shuttle limitations.

Don't de-orbt, make it an orbital hangar to build large vehicles. Move it farther out with the space tugs. And it can become a storage depot for extra parts and engines after they are removed from combining multiple starships to become space freighters for continuous supply runs to the colonies.

A pity we can't bring it back down and put it in a museum!

Let's face the facts... SpaceX is the new NASA.

Big waste of resources. We need to re-focus our efforts on an international base on the moon. First would be starlink satellites in orbit, then refurbing starships to act as the actual base.

Очень интересно как все взаимодействует ❤

What would the possibilities be to raise it to museum orbit?

Dock starship to it and drag it down where you want it. Free money. Lol
