The Head And The Heart - Your Mother's Eyes - CARDINAL SESSIONS

We've met Seattle-based Indie-Folk band The Head and the Heart more than five years ago for the first time. Three albums, a lot of hits, soundtracks and hundreds of wonderful live performances later, they return to Cardinal Sessions with this acoustic session before their show in Cologne, Germany. This song is called "Your Mother's Eyes".

Cardinal Sessions was founded in the summer of 2010. They challenge the classic music video and try to replace impersonal footage with immediate and emotional snapshots.

Bands from all over the world with their different genres present their songs reduced to the essence of the musical spectrum - only vocals and unplugged instruments. Due to the spontaneous live-aspect and the approach to record every song without any additional rehearsal, songs emerge that often sound significantly different to their album versions.

We film on locations that the musicians mostly choose by themselves: remote places, frequented streets, parks, woods, fields, bars; nothing is impossible. We have accomplished our goal if the location fits well to the background of the music we and the artists want to present. But our most important purpose is that there are no borders: we film everything that we like, no matter how popular, famous or also unknown a band might be. It is still important for us to support local talents and it will always stay part of our concept.

The Cardinal Sessions team can also be booked: for example to film short documentaries of album recordings, studio recordings or live concert moments that you want to capture.

You guys probably don't read these things. But any who, i left a comment on your album before this one and told u some experience i had with my mom and my daughter in the kitchen while listening to your jams. Then this song cane and you nailed it again. My mother pasted away and my daughter suffers from depression due to losing her mother(e×wifey) as well. In a 2 year span she lost to main female influenced in her life. But this song hinders the realization of my journey with her. Your interpretaion is most likely different but i play this to myteenage kid and she gets it and she is more of a hip hop head. But when i play this and she listens to it...man the emotion and love that kicks out is indescribable. Ty and God bless.

as soon as some years ago for the first time i came to know about the name of this band by the means of BBC i have completely stopped listening other band . for me yours songs will last forever somethings are not the slave of time .
