I do not want to question God as to why He allowed Dr. Heiser to die but I am sad. Nevertheless, I am so thankful that He gave us Dr. Heiser and caused him to plant and scatter such wisdom and knowledge in the body of Christ. God used him to give us such pause as to how we read and study His Word.

God has a permissive will. As human beings, with even less control, having a permissive will when it comes to what other people think or do so long as we do what we can to inform the ignorant and mitigate the results of sin, is understandable.

Here’s my question, do we really want to argue AGAINST ejecting parts of the Bible? So, are we all pro slavery? Anti women? Anti gay? You’re not going to tell me it’s NOT okay to take a MAN WRITTEN book that has been propped up as an idol in place of Jesus Christ and eject parts that aren’t in alignment with Jesus’ teachings.
