Alabama Football enters Week 4 with their first of 2 bye weeks in the 2024 college football season. The Crimson Tide looks to get healthy as they prepare to take on Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs in Week 5. Georgia struggled in a 13-12 win over Kentucky last week. The Bulldogs are likely to get Mykel Williams back for this matchup but what will be concerning for them will be the Tate Ratledge Injury news that determined he suffered a sprained MCL and ankle and will miss ‘several weeks.’ Alabama Football Report host Chris Daughtery breaks down a brief look at the Week 5 Matchup between Georgia and Alabama.

UGA fan here: With that being said, I'm going to lay it down for you. If Kirby Smart allows Mike Bobo to do that same conservative, scared, "tip toeing" around playing calling from the Ray Golf play book, then we will get beat hands down! Rule of thumb: Never play scared, whether it's football, gambling, etc. If you do, you will lose.

We must have an aggressive approach both on offense and defense. Just like Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Ohio State, etc. No teams have ever won anything big by just playing conservative. You can't sit around and hope you can out last one of these big teams. It won't happen!

Hopefully Mike Bobo, does not run the ball up the middle on 1st and 2nd down with one RB in the backfield. Everyone knows you're going to do this. You have to mix up the play calling and spread the talent all over the filed. If you keep doing this, not only will Alabama beat us, but Texas, Tennessee, & Ole Miss will as well.

I’m gonna give you a very fair and I’m biased report on Georgia, As a fan and as a coach.

Georgia is going to end up being 8-4/9-3 And I don’t see next year being any better. Kirby will be forced to make a change on his offensive line coach and his coordinator.

Gentlemen It simply comes down to coaching and talent, Kirby brought back, Mike Bobo Because they are buddies and he’s a former UGA player. He almost got Mark Richt fired as well.

I’m not really worried about UGA defense or special teams. The offense, is average at best. Carson Beck couldn’t even beat out Stetson Bennett for the starting job, Carson is a solid backup, he is not going to be as starting NFL quarterback. And yes, to be a dominant team, This time and age you better have a future NFL star. Offensive line, has 1-2 Draftable offensive line in the next two years. The o-line also has 3 to 4 players that wouldn’t start at most SEC schools. UGA currently does not have a draftable tight end on its rooster. Offensively I only see about 3 to 4 players over the next 2 to 3 years that will get drafted, This tells you that Kirby has a major issue with his offensive staff and players. so UGA probably has one wide out, 2 o lineman and two running backs that could start at most schools. That is not gonna cut it to be an elite Championship contending program.

For that reason alone, Bama wins 37-17, Primarily because the office keeps giving the ball back. All you guys have to do is put 8 in the box, single high safety, Keep pressure on Carson, And you’re gonna get three and outs all day. I also see this happening at Texas. I see us going neck to neck with Ole Miss and Tennessee, And probably winning one and losing other other. So we will be a 9-3 team. I know we have a championship level defense, But your defense has to be aided by an offense that can help them.
