It worked! Called LG. They referred me to an "authorized" repair person who when I called said they don't do LG and don't know why LG would refer them. He gave me another "authorized" repair person who when we contacted them had the same answer: "we don't do LG". LG Service is an absolute trainwreck. Went to the store where we purchased in in June, 2018. They do were not helpful. So I turned to YouTube. Tried to the power off, tilt, reset. So grateful.

This fix worked for me. Since the Dishwasher is about 7 years old, I decided to put in a new pressure hose while I had it out. Total parts was about $70.00. Thanks

Many thanks for this. I also found the fuse blown in the noise filter. Replacement part was Can$ 90 delivered from Reliable Parts. The phillips screw was impossible to remove and I cut through it with a small hacksaw. Secured the new part with a screw from the outside. I wonder if a $2 fuse would have fixed it?

This video was a good start, but what if the fuse in the power filter module is intact, so you have AC power getting to the control board, but there is no display?

I also had a bad power line filter. It was discolored around the fuse, just like the one you showed. It also melted the plastic tray where the fuse is mounted, on the bottom you could see the solder pads had overheated and deformed the plastic also. It looks like the fuse is overheating and the solder pads are too small. After replacing the filter I measured the line current and it was 10.45 A. Well within the ratings of the fuse (15A) . I think they need to address this problem. A short term “power spike” would not cause the plastic to deform

I have exact same dish washer. Do you have the part number and website you ordered the line filter from? Thanks for posting

Thank you so much. I followed your video and fixed my own dishwasher!!! I don’t own the tester thing so took a chance that it was the noise filter assembly. It was. Thanks again!!

Perfect! It was a 6201EC1006T that I picked up today from Reliable Parts. After checking the main board and switch which were both fine, this filter board was the culprit. Thanks Scott. Other than a card, this is the perfect Valentine's Gift for my lady.

Thanks, mine turned out to be loose electrical connection at power supply - I guess wire nut was not tight enough from initial install, and it vibrated loose over time. Tightened wire nuts and turned on circuit breaker, and back in business.

Scott: Not just good: EXCELLENT! great video, great safety procedures, and great meter stuff. I needed a better visual of checking the noise filter fuse but other than that awesome!

Thanks for the video! I was having this exact problem with my dishwasher and this video let me know it was relatively easy to fix. Turns out, my power cord was just loose, so the hardest part of the fix was getting out the stripped screw from whoever installed the thing.

VERY informative ! I had same thing happen to me..no power on my LG.. model LDT5678ST. I had a service guy come, checked breaker and plug (which i obviously did first too). he didnt look inside the dishwasher ..he didnt remove anything. he quickly diagnosed that it needs a new front panel ($500+). was that a hasty diagnosis.. could someone tell that quick without looking inside . the dishwasher is only 2 1/2 years old. to me it seemed pretty fast without looking at anything else..but that may be standard. thougths? thanks!!

Hey Scott, I am working on a very similar dishwasher and it’s not powering on. Before it was, and I replaced the main motor that was burned out and shorted to ground.
I checked both fuses and the door latch. What do you think I should do next?
