Note the response by Jai Chabria to the question of whether or not Trump's lawsuit violates the First Amendment even if its claims are true: the reason why ABC settled was to protect the reputation of George Stephanopolous against the perception of being "biased". As being "biased" is not illegal, which itself is a component of the question originally raised, Chabria's answer is literally nonsense. Worse than that, it is an admission that Trump's lawsuit is a form of blackmail.

And what does the host, who posed this question, say to this sinister nonsense? "Good point." No sir, not a good point, and he's facilitated the mendaciousness of a right wing shill in doing so.
