Although i love Samsung's a33 and its significant upgrades in quality, excluding the charger to prevent waste is pretty condradictory since the chargers are now sold in separete boxes.

A33 in my opinion is a massive improvement from the A32 and A32 5G: better main camera (Has OIS), better night mode, better video recording (4k and 1080p 60fps- The A32 4G was limited to 1080p 30fps but the 5G one 4k 30fps but no 1080p 60fps) and thanks to the 25W and new chipset its more quicker to charge too and also much better design👍

Finally I got to see the video review of my a33 on gsmarena. Yes I bought it after 3 years plus of used from the poco f1. But to be honest gsmarena is too kind and being rather "linient" of those comments. My configuration is 8/128. Here are my thoughts are a month of use:
1) Design and build wise is good and comparable to my poco f1 its plastic and I don't have any complaints I don't like to use cases on my phone except I got a free one and I even didn't apply a screen protector on my last phone(poco f1) with only gorilla glass 3 protection until today it still looking good with only minor scratches here and there and I barely notice it with zero cracks. I use dropped several times over the years and it didn't damage the screen at all. IP 67 protection for me is useless on a phone regardless of IP 53, 67, 68. To me it's like a way for manufacturers to advertise and increase the price of the phone. So far I haven't faced any water damage issue on any of my phones and this is my first time using IP67 phone and I still will protect it from water as always using it in the rain will be fine for any phone and no other phone with water damage can be claimed under warranty so what's the point? My a33 is in awesome blue and I really like it without the case it's awesome to look at it won't show fingerprints but oil and sweat will stick, jut use wet tissue to wipe it and you are good. In hand feel is great not too large i have small hands though, easy to hold but it can be slippery when my hands are cold.
2) Screen is oled with 90hz is a great feature. Appreciate the oled from lcd but the screen on my f1 is one of the best I have seen from the price range at that time so this a33 didn't really make a huge jump, its noticeable if compared side by side but doesn't wow me unless it's the Samsung flagship screen and that's what I called excellent screen. 90Hz is a mix bag for me as I use my phone mainly on social media, YouTube videos those basic stuff and barely game so 90Hz doesn't really benefit based on my usage. I also found out that if I turn on 90HZ the standby and SOT are noticeably worse so I trade 90HZ for better SOT.
3) Cameras, i expected the main sensor to be pretty good as on paper it has OIS I expect to be much improved compared to my poco f1 but it didn't. I have gcam installed on my f1 and the colour science detail HDR is much better on my f1 LOL. The ultra wide is new to me and fun to use but it's 8MP not a 12MP so quality wise is significantly impact and weak. I seldom use the camera except I'm traveling. But still cameras are one of my first priority when purchasing a smartphone.
4) Performance. Exynos 1280 is good for normal task as I would do and I won't stress it any further as I am sure it can't handle. I used sd 845 on my f1 and it's a flagship chip at that time and I'm still choose to game on that phone not my main phone a33. I really wish Samsung would have give this phone a 700 series 5G chip and not their own 1280 chip as its a downgrade if you are buying the a53 its even a shame considering the much higher price. Performance is great if I stick to my day to day task and that's it I haven't tried using the cameras for long period of time so I can't tell if the phone will get hot easily. I hope it will last for 4 years as Samsung promises to support this phone for 4 years.
5) Battery. 5000mah looks amazing as a gold standard nowadays but tbh its only ok-ish got me a full day a a student and nothing more. I have to charge it every day when it's at 20-30% to 85(I turn on a settings on the phone to limit it so it prolongs the battery health) which means my SOT(6-7hours) starts from 84% to 20-30%. * 60HZ 24/7 brightness at 40%. Definitely not a 2 day phone or a weekend no charger phone. Charging speed is quick to me(subjective) 30 min from 20%+ to 84% where it stops automatically and that's a full day of use. I do not game, only social media, YouTube, chrome, Spotify basic stuff.
6) Software. One UI 4.1 and android 12 out of the box, still using to it I am able to adapt to any software in the android world. No hate whatsoever, Iiked one UI and MIUI both are feature rich and customizable every UI has its own bugs and glitches but MIUI on my f1 lately(after 3 years) has gotten really bad until it kept restart the phone for no reason, it can be any time and it frustrates me so I choose Samsung and One UI. No complaints till now and still trying to get used to it. Samsung also promises 4 years major software update and 5 years of security patches if I'm not mistaken and that's the reason I'm convinced to buy Samsung phone to give it a try even though the price has increase pretty significant compare to its predecessor and also pricier than my f1when I bought at that time.

Overall: I give 7/10 I will still recommend it to consumer who like Samsung and prefer Samsung software and the attractive software update support. But you will not be wowed by the specs on paper unlike any other phones at this price range (realme, xiaomi, poco).
No charger in the box, no headphone jack is a bummer. I buy the charging brick (25W) separately from Samsung and there's no dongle in the box, I have to buy it separately as well if I need to use my old 3.5mm earphones or I just but a USB c earphone in the future. Currently using wireless earphone when needed but I prefer wired better.

Samsung's midrange and lower tier phones are drastically improving, they used to be trash compared to their competitors, but now they're competing at the same level. Good job Samsung 👍🏾

You shouldn't say to reduce waste. People will need to buy a charger separately which increase waste from packaging and shipping separately. If samsung wanted to reduce waste the should have had option with/without charger.. And the definitely should have kept the headphone jack to reduce waste...

the camera is the best among what you've reviewed lately. I've never heard superb description of the camera lately but samsung was able to pull it off. Wow

the big issue with the a33 is that the a53 is already discounted so much that its only slightly more

The only problem with this phone for me personally is not having a headphone jack. I can’t bear fiddling on with Bluetooth headphone settings while I’m out and about listening to music. Never been able to get the hang of it and can’t bear to go out with listening to music.

Is silly, Samsung that mocking Apple about "Ditching Audio Jack" now Samsung following it. Still grateful, I have phone that has Audio Jack
