I'm reporting the case of having an age limit of 35 for the 485 visa without any transitional period to Channel 9 and Channel 7 News. This has to be discussed publicly. Please go to your news channel and do the same, and hopefully, they will start to listen to us. 😢

I came to Australia in 2016 on a Working Holiday - then transitioned to Student, 485, and now on the 482. Next month is my 8 year anniversary and I’m left to wonder how much longer am I going to be ”permanently temporary.” Comparing the pathways in Europe I could have achieved PR there in 5 years. Really mind boggling how this system in Australia is truly broken and careless.

It's ironic that the housing crisis and inflation are being blamed on SC 500 and 485 visa holders, who aren't even buying houses. The real issue lies with Airbnb, wealthy individuals purchasing multiple properties, and foreign buyers. There should be stricter laws to address these factors. Universities in Australia thrive because of top international students, and the country continues to attract migrants. Australia's universities remain highly ranked thanks to the contributions of foreign talent. Everyone in this land once a migrant...

Eg what a joke, When they granting 491 they granting all the grants at same time, bulk grant, which is causing huge housing and job crisis in RDA.. 😢

Hey Karl, Thank you for being the only agent / Legend to advocate so openly and effectively. I also run an agency and you’ve been my virtual mentor. Great great content and help to many! Keep it up.

TRA completed my skill assessment for fibrous plasterer on 8th August (lodged on 22 June) which is around 45 days and less than expected 120 days.

Kicking out Clare O'Neil and Giles from their posts is the best decision ever but too late, they have left behind a mess with many dreams frustated and families broken apart 😥. I'll be alone in Australia soon and my brothers, who are professionals with experience, are now looking a clear and reliable pathway in another country.

I feel relieved after seeing so much happening in the education sector and visa rules shift etc, that I got my invite right before all the downturn and chaos started. I must have won the most important lottery for my entire life, and for that, I am very grateful for all the people in my journey who are offering invaluable support, including Karl and his team. Now, as a permanent resident, I can finally start my dreamed life in Australia. Thanks Karl and his team for all the work done for the Australian immigration.

Me and my family also waiting for 491 family sponsored visa grant since 2022 November, all the necessary documents were submitted in the first place to prevent unnecessary delays, provided PCC for the second time as it got expired through the waiting, After 16 months of the lodgement they sent a commencement email, we were so happy because we hoped that we would get our grant whithin 2 months after that, but sadly we got another s56 for to redo medicals After 20 months of the lodgement date because at that time our medicals were older than 18 months. (Usually they say medicals expires after a year, but as my observation they accept medicals within 18 months)
If they were efficient to evaluate our decision ready file whithin that 18 months that would not happen . I dont really know why they take such a long period to evaluate an application, In this smart and technological world they work as really primitive level of speed. Actually it cost us a significant amount of money to renew medicals and pcc s again and again . Some people are getting grants even before they hit even 12 months and here we are waiting nearly two years for the same visa grant after paying same amount of money, so unfair system DHA run.😥😥😥

What hurts more is that percentage of offshore to skilled migration is highest meaning, the job market has no value for students who study here. In America, the primary filter for job applicants is a local degree. Students spend a fortune on gaining education here and people from back home just apply directly for jobs here & move. Disappointing state of affairs. Why isnt offshore migration or refugee migration capped, which is the real problem?

Hi Karl, I’m a 491 Family Sponsored visa applicant from 2022, and I'm experiencing significant delays. It's frustrating to see 2023 applicants getting grants while 2022 applicants, who’ve even completed re-medicals, are still waiting. The uncertainty is affecting our lives, especially with career opportunities slipping away. Could you please discuss this issue in one of your videos and offer any advice on what we can do? Thanks for your support!

Thank you so much Karl for your heart and attention to international students. Sounds like there is hope for international students like me who's over 35 years old. I hope the new minister will reconsider and do something in favor to us. Not only us student but also our hopeful family are devastated and broken hearted because of this new policy. Looking forward for a positive update soon.

So whats the point of coming to aus for studying ? Might as well stay back home, study there and get some work experience. Then apply directly

Thanks for the information, Carl. You always give accurate insight on ongoing issues, if you don't mind, could you please let me know the wait time for an overseas 491 Subsequent entrant?

Hi karl I hope all is well . Me and hundreds of people are Waiting since October 2022 for 491 visa state sponsored as I am actively seeking an answer to our hold up I entertain my self on multiple Facebook groups with hundreds if not thousands more people in the same shoes the question is should we just forget about it an go on with our life’s or wait they asked us for medical and police twice already while they are granting 2023 this can’t be a backlog cause of lack of resources this is intentional if they don’t want us why don’t they just refuse it and get it over with why the wait?

Hey Karl! Could you do a show on visa processing times for the 190 visa? The global processing time tool on the DOHA website doesn't seem to make sense, as the timelines keep changing every few months. Keep up the great work, cheers!
