For the first few seconds I thought this was supposed to be Hunter singing about Belos because of the parallels that existed, but I was confused because it wouldn’t work well because of Hollow Mind, then I realized Hunter is referring to his original as his father, just like Belos probably told Hunter if he ever saw any pictures. I think it is, I’m not sure, but it seems like Belos at the end along with The Collector being the ones standing in the way, the ones to blame for Hunter’s original(Philip’s brother) being dead and Hunter being a grimwalker and having to go through all the trauma he has. Great animatic by the way, before Hollow Mind, Hunter paralleled Varian but instead of Belos being a good person, Hunter just thought he was, unlike the situation with Varian.

I have been seeing a lot of Varian vids, and they are a lot similar. They both have animal/Pailman pals (Rudiger, Flapjack, Waffles), both experience tragic situations, both need therapy, both wanted to make people proud and help them (In Hunter’s case, before he found out the truth about Belos), both turned good in the end (except for Varian, it was he was good at start, then turned bad, then turned good again), both are teens, both are smart, and are both very beloved characters by fans and are precious ‘cinnamon rolls’ of their shows.

Also, a little thing I'd like to mention; before I had watched TOH, I saw a video pop up on my recommended comparing Varian and Hunter. Now, I didn't know much about TOH other than a lot of people I was subscribed to/followed were really into it lol. So I clicked the video (because I love Varian lol), and saw how similar they were. This is what convinced me to watch TOH.

And now I am obsessed with the show :D

(interestingly, my favorite character actually ended up being Amity 😂 I think I just really like villain/bully turned good characters haha)
