Brompton A Line And C Line Rolling Mode

Показать описание
Your Brompton, when part folded, can be carried or rolled whilst in Rolling mode.

In this video we will show you how to push or pull your Brompton, which minimises carrying fatigue and excess exertion. This technique applies to bikes with or without a rack but for better stability we suggest the use of a rear rack or upgrading to the Advance Roller or Eazy wheels.

I love the fact that Brompton recommend "upgrading" to the Advanced roller or Easy wheels straight off the bat. Why do they bother factory fitting the standard roller wheels when they know, and we know they are crap? Surely its not saving them that much on their C and A line price point? My brand new C line frame and suspension block are chewed up due to using the rolling mode with the standard roller wheels. Thanks guys.

1:20 Top IRL Tip, Get a Easy Wheel Extender.
It gives you a few centimeters more so the Suspensionblock will be save at all Time.

Plus your Bike is way more Stable while rolling in any Configuration that is not Bike Mode.

Why Brompton don't makes the Wheel (Frame) tubes a bit longer to prevent this rubbing in the first place is still a Mystery to me.

Or, you know, just wheel it along like a normal bike until you go inside

I just hang the Brompton by the saddle on my shoulder and then fold it if I need to store it. As a trolley mode for grocery shopping, having the rear rack is good to move it around easier. Usually I push it by the saddle.

Please refer to your User guide/manual for the correct gap between lowered Seatpost and the Stop Disc, 2mm?, your gap was/is too generous.
A good video and thanks for sharing.
Take care.

Still tough to roll my electric c on office building's carpet. I cannot wait until I get bigger roller wheel....or even rear rack. That small little wheel on fender also doesn't help.

That looks like a very good reason to buy the rear rack.

I often push it from the saddle instead of the stem.

I pull my brompton like it were a puppy. I use a dog collar bungey as a leash... get lots of looks when I am shopping.

Love the carting mode in the store.

I wished the electric line was lighter though.

Tip: get a wheel strap, then you can push it from the saddle instead of the handlbar, it's much easier this way.

When I fold my new brompton the seat post hits the suspension block. When I am rolling it there is play/movement in the handlebars

More colours for the A line? I will buy something different if not, it's like forcing us to pay 500 more just to get a different colour...

First thing I'd do when I get one, is get bigger roller wheels at the hardware store.

She has her seat to far forward that’s gonna stress the rails. Better to set the seat back into range and adjust the bars back a little to get the fit IMHO

I purchased my Brompton M6L with a rear rack. How do I roll the bike with the rack on?

I finally got a brompton last year . On the first day I used it the chain kept on slipping and the ring bell flew away. I emailed the Coven Garden workshop to get it fixed and I am still waiting for an answer... so I went to another retailer and they accused me of buying the bike second hand/ modified.... I showed them the they then explained me that the ring bell is a goner and since it s fixed on the bike they can't do anything about it, and the chain is the wrong one, I had a p line chain on my c line bike so they charged me to replace it even thought the bike is supposed to be under 7 year guarantee emailed the customer support about the whole fiasco of me ridding to work through traffic with a bike that was faulty and putting me at risk of an accident and that I had to pay to get my bike "fixed" even though it obviously wasn't my doing, and the only thing they would do is offer a refund for the chain, not the service or a compensation for putting me at risk or offer a replacement bike since it obviously was a FAULTY LONG STORY SHORT THE BIKE IS BACK IN BOX, NEVER USED IT AGAIN, BACK TO MY FAITHFULL RALEIGH. £1600 WASTED

Without a rack it’s just not possible. Even if you follow the instructions in this video. It’s just crazy that you don’t get a rack on a 3600 euro electric Brompton.
