The best thing that happened to Brompton was their patent running out.

The only problem with brompton is I can't afford it.

Agree. Likewise to Hito, 3Sixty, Pikes, Royale, Crius, Mint, Aleoca, Trifold, Rifle, Litepro, Alps, Golden, United, Weekeight, Dahon, Eithereal, Rifle, Liaoge666. All are B lookalike. Thank you Bromtom.

As a Brompton owner, 22ibs and 30 seconds to deploy.

True, but 20" wheels go over bumps

Cost about the same as a full carbon road bike but heavier. I suppose if you have to fold the bike every day because it needs to be carried up apartments and gets on the subway daily then the brompton makes sense. It’s the bmw of folding bikes.

No doubt the Brompton is an amazing folder, and I haven't seen anything that comes close to it in terms of folding size. However, I test ride a couple, and I couldn't get on with the ride experience. I ended up going for a slightly larger folder. It's not great to push around when folded, and it's generally easier to just unfold and wheel as a bike. However I've gone on 100km cycles on it, which i just couldn't contemplate on a Brompton.

Agreed, after having Bromptons in China, Egypt, Hong Kong and USA, transport has been super smooth. I've had a Birdy, Tern Verge P10, Verge S8i and Stridas. Brompton's engineering definitely has the edge when considering all factors. May not be the lightest, or fastest, but overall, it does everything well!

I actually only use 1 hand to push my 2 fold folding bikes 🫤

No true. My experience with both systems of Brompton and Dahon, they are just as easy. The video was a little misleading, the Dahon system is with a magnetic latch to hold the two wheels (not demonstrated in this video!) parallel for pushing far more smoothly than the Brompton little rollers. When I pushed the Brompton system as he did, the suspension was very near to the ground, often dragging along. The only advantage for the Brompton system is the small folded size, otherwise this 40 year old design is aging, especially the screw locking mechanism and external cable routing.

Bromptons are bloody expensive but that's because they're good quality and handmade in the UK. They're not great value for money upfront but they'll last longer than most bikes at the same price point.

As an added bonus, if you decide you don't want it any more then the resale value is way higher than most bikes because people *know* they're good.

How can you compare a trifold with a bifold bike in yr video. There are more than 20 other brands having the same trifold B design. Its equally good.

Are there any other folding bikes that can be pushed around like the brampton? And also maybe have twenty inch wheels?

Funny, when I got a super-light "other" folding bike, I didn't have to "push" it around, because I could carry it easily with one hand lol.

Interesting that you installed some different wheels to push it while folded; what are those?

It better be @ 5 x the price of an actual good folding bike that also brings you to work & home...

Do you know why the Btwin fold is so much better than the Brompton? Folding/unfolding speed and price.
