When Pete's plane crashes in the swamp, he's rescued by young Tammy, an unsophisticated backwoods girl who lives with her lay-preacher-cum-moonshiner grandfather. When Pete's well, he goes back home to his fiancée. But then Grampa gets sent to jail and he sends Tammy to stay with Pete. At Pete's house, Tammy's home cooking, enthusiasm and quaint sunshiny personality bring about changes in Pete's family and in Pete himself.

This is one of my most favorite movies. I've watched it for years as it used to be up on YouTube. Recently however I found out that it was taken off and it made me so sad as I can't seem to find it on Prime or any other movie streaming service. I'm planning on purchasing the DVD version once I get a new DVD player but it saddens me that such amazing films like Tammy and the bachelor are slow by slowly being forgotten. I'm only 20 and don't plan on having kids for a while but when I do have children of my own I want to be able to show them movies like this. Movies that I grew up loving, movies that taught me to dream. To whoever took the time to read this comment please introduce older films to your children and grandchildren or anyone you can. These pictures deserve to continue to be the timeless pieces that they are. Thank you for giving me a moment of your time and I hope you have a wonderful week😊💕
