I have PCS from Domestic Abuse. 8 verified concussions and so many I couldn't seek treatment for. I pray all who have this dreadful thing, recover from it...

I'm here as a testimony that by the grace of God you can and will recover from PCS. I swung my head harshly into a sharp edge of a table in 2012. I felt whiplash movement. The onset of my PCS came on about 5-6 days later... Like a delayed reaction. Every symptom you can think of, i had it. EVERY ONE. Full recovery was about 2 years more or less (it wasn't at its worst the whole entire time.) My remaining symptoms are eye floaters and light sensitivity... Otherwise I am NORMAL. One day at a time by the grace of God, call onto him and acknowledge him and be grateful... He will heal you ❤️🙏

Just got diagnosed with PCS today.
I will say, I am glad to have a name to my symptoms now. Starting treatments on Monday. 🙏

I had a mild right side ischemic stroke on Sept. 1/24 and 6 months later I'm still dealing with MANY of these same symptoms. Tension headaches (gone after 3 months), sleeplessness (gone after 3 months), now feeling my equilibrium (dizziness) has gotten much better, still irritable, and dealing with mental (neuro) fatigue still. Another issue after my stroke I've experienced is constant ringing (tinnitus) in my ears. I hope this gets better over time as my brain heals and adapts. Best wishes to all.

I had cognitive like over 2-3 years now. Been living with it and lost many friends. Whenever they talk to me. I just stutter and i find my self on the universe and your body is not there.

Hey guys, there is a great book by Dr. Kabran Chapek, Concussion Rescue. It came out in February 2020. It's been 3 years since my PCS dx, some days are better than others. But this book helped me to find my LOCAL Neuro-Chiropractor. I just started having therapy again after being dumped by my insurance and Doctors. I hope this helps a little.

I have some kind of behavior disorder after my fall.I spit in someones face once .sometimes it's as if im not the only one in my body.I tell myself I'm not going to but the other personality does it anyway if that makes sense.I had bought lottery tickets and my mouth blurted out I won even though I didn't etc... Just strange things have been happening and some things that got me in a lot of trouble. Pretty much I ended up an unwilling participant. Started having fainting spells and episodes where I just fall over with loss of motor function, loss of pain sensors and impaired vision.Ive had such violent dizzy spells that I was on my hands and knees trying to keep from falling on my face. But I've sustained a lot of blows to my head and even spent twelve days deaf after an explosion almost took my head off.also hit in the temple with a drill and baseball bat.I fell and bounced my brain back and forth inside my skull hit my forehead 4 times. Yet my family just expects me to be ok like nothing ever happened. I'm not ok and haven't been for years but everyone keeps trying to force me. Have any idea what this disorder might be??

If I'm around really loud noise for more than 30-45 minutes it makes my head hurt really bad and makes me vomit too

If your symptoms last over two weeks you could have a neck misalignment that is partially blocking the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. You may want to check out an upper cervical chiropractor and get that straightened out it really is helping me with post concussion syndrome.

Had post concussion syndrome for over a year now, I can now tolerate screen and reeding... but I still really struggle with activities such as running and lifting weights, where my pulse gets high. Is this normal that physical activities is one of the last things I will manage to do? (According to my doctor I have a normal prognose)

Speaking for those of use who have post-concussion problems: Could you please turn the background music down or off AND have it be consistant in volume? It's difficult and painful to have the background music so loud that one must work really hard to hear what the doc is saying, or to have it suddenly increase in volume. (This request applies to ALL your videos. Thank you.)

I've been just diagnosed with pcs. on the 23rd of June. I got in an accident totaled my car and unknowingly got a concussion later that evening I had borrowed my mom's car and according to the doctor I must of blacked out or something like that witch caused the 2nd accident and totaled her car took the airbag full force to the face I don't even remember calling 911 anyway, I guess I injured my brain twice in under 12 hours. I know I'm lucky to be alive but, how is it that I could have PCS when it's been only about 2 days ago. Had 2 Ct scan ekg x-rays ect. and as the doctor put it "everything looks reassuring" I have almost all the symptoms.. the hardest is trying to express myself and processing information it take a little longer for me to do that now..oh, I do anger easier because I get so frustrated in myself I'm trying to understand what it that is wrong with me but, I'm having a difficulties in it. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say because sometimes I don't..

how long till I'm normal again - it's been over a year. PCS is not my only diagnosis, and only time I can kind of concentrate is if I take meds, I have completely avoided going out anymore due to my body jumping into Ludacris speed and I feel l have to get the heck out of there fast and I feel the worst isn't over yet. Something presses the panic button, and I can't find it.

Is it true someone can have post concussion syndrome for years ?

I've had multiple concussions. The symptoms seem to run right alongside chronic migraine. My Neurologist has been trying migraine treatments, and nothing has worked. I'm thinking I might have PCS instead. I'll bring it up with neuro. Hopefully something will work.

I play football and I got hit in the head and I didn’t lose consciousness but it’s been going on for 3 and a half weeks now and I still feel dizzy, blurred vision headaches if I work out. Is the concussion still there? Or just the symptoms. Am I able to play through them?

I started having migraines in the fall of 2002 after a serious car accident. No dr seems to take me serious. It has affected every aspect of my life.

I I’m glad I stumbled on to this because in 2005 I got into a really bad car accident I’ll see about 120 stitches in my face all together and fractured pelvis. Is it possible that I can suffer from post concussive symptoms 15 years later and he answers would be appreciated thank you

I’ve had pcs since I hit my head a week before Christmas. I went to the doctor 5 weeks after I hit my head but the doctor said I only have a “mild” concussion. It wasn’t till I looked at my medical records and saw that the dr added pcs to my chart. Should I go about getting a referral for a neurologist?
