Russia-Ukraine war: China's top diplomat urges Europe to support its plans for peace talks

China is keeping up its attempts to play peacemaker between Russia and Ukraine. Top diplomat Wang Yi has called on Europe to support its blueprint for peace talks. In a phone call to a French diplomat, Mr Wang said China looks forward to European countries playing their due role. Beijing's proposal would freeze Russian troops in place on Ukrainian territory, while officials work out a political settlement.

Of course Zelensky is able to make his own decision but is afraid of US wrath. Zelensky can also say no to NATO but again is afraid of US wrath. So the war continues & death toll keeps piling up. A sad pawn indeed. He is kept in the cage with a leash held on tightly by his US master.
