You can't reach the "N" marker because it is not a marker. The "N" is just a part of your mini map/radar. It spins around the radar frame when you turn around. And it's not displayed on the map, it the part of mini map/radar look.

So basically, Michael crossed over:Nevada, Oregon, Washington, then he crossed the border, and got into Canada, crossed Alberta, the north-west territories, the islands if Canada and then made it into Beaufort Sea, then finally made it into the Arctic Ocean where the N marker is.Michael is pretty brave to swim in the extremely cold water.

In GTA 4, N is reachable but only with trainers
Same with GTA SA, without trainer you can't reach N

I hope in GTA 6 at N will be North Pole, and South Pole at the same Y coordinate with minus, it would be fking great!
