I've really appreciated your educational videos!! It's so important to bring awareness to the seeing community so we can get along with each other without being scared of commiting faux pas. As a kid I would be scolded for curiosity and this would make me afraid of any interaction at all. Thank you so much for what you do

Awww!!!! That's so interesting to hear and learn. I totally agree with you that there is a Blind Spectrum that sadly isn't shown in society with people only knowing blind and then being able to see when they are so many different variations!!! ❤❤

There's a young man I took care of at an ophthalmologist office I used to work at, I will never forget him or our interaction (though, his name has been long forgotten).
His mother has RP, and he had noticed some problems with his vision. He was 20/20 when reading the chart, but when it came time to check his peripheral vision, he couldn't see very much at all... We both teared up as I finished each quadrant showing just how much vision he had already lost without really knowing prior to that moment. It was absolutely heartbreaking. I take care of many blind people now, and I still think of him often. I really hope that he is in a good place and is living a full life.

I also have retinitis pigmentosa. My vision loss has become more rapid, but since seeing your videos I’m not as scared to lose my vision.

My baby lost vision completely from the left eye his retina kept detaching and the surgeon said even if they attached it would keep detaching so it wasn't worth the risk of surgery. I have to admit since I was told he could go completely blind a few month after being born..I was distraught and scared for his future but it really gives me hope seeing how happy your husband is.

My son was diagnosed with RP at the age of 17. He's almost 34. His vision is horrible. He can't recognize faces. To him, it's more like a shadow. He's still working though, which is remarkable!

I have been struggling with retinitis pigmentosa for nearly 16 years. I have never seen anyone online speak about it. Thank you so much for sharing your story and your life with us you have no idea how much this means to me. Thank you 💖💖💖

I'm officially in a rarer state of RP but am slowly losing night and peripheral vision. I've had an operation and been going to hospitals since I was 3 years old. Since watching your videos I'm much less scared so thank you. I hope you are doing amazing 💖

This disease runs in my family! It seemed so rare and daunting when we first heard about it but I'm happy there is more awareness about it. Thank you for educating others and showing that people with disabilities can still enjoy life. I've only just found your channel and I love the love and positivity you guys spread!

It's beautiful how much you love each other.

I’ve always found it frustrating that people could think there is only one type of anything. Thank you for explaining one of the many spectrums of disability 🙏

Thank you for educating us on that 🙏🏻 especially with the visualisation. I never knew some blind people could be just partial blind with just a pinhole area of vision and everything else is pure darkness.
Not all of us have experience or are exposed to people with disabilities.

To your blind husband:
So sorry for what you're going through.
I can't even imagine how terrible it would be if I can't see anything.
Glad that you still seem to look positive and not all depressed? And you seem to have a husband that supports you.

I sincerely wish all the best to both of you! 🍀🌻
