Looking back at this that design is good for actually making armor it covers exactly what you need .

A good trick for creating a heavy WELD BEAD is to use latex caulk. You can squeeze it out of a tube or use a caulking gun. If done correctly, it looks EXACTLY like a heavy weld bead. You want to use a technique that you would NOT normally use. If you apply the caulk a little heavy, and kind of push and pull, in one direction, creating little blobs, that sort of overlap each other, just on the edges of the blobs, it can really replicate a weld bead pretty accurately!! I did it, and when it was painted with steel colors and lightly dry brushed, a friend COULD NOT believe that it wasn't a real, steel, weld bead!

I've also found hot glue can make very convincing welds after a metallic paint job if you don't clean up the excess.

Very awesome. I, too, love the Fallout universe and all the armor they put together from junk.

Picked up the pattern today and I am looking forward to putting it together for this Halloween. Perfect timing! I was also curious if you will be releasing patterns for other parts (shin, forearm, etc.) of the metal armor? Or do you have other recommendations for those parts?
