Thank you so much!! I’ve had AS for 40 years (took 10 agonizing years to get properly diagnosed). Finally- a great compilation that ties everything together. I had a great Rheumatologist who retired 😢, and he “got it”. I was on Enbrel for several years, and life was good, but Medicare won’t cover. Good to be starting Cimzia, but have hesitated due to Covid. Just thanks for helping me know I’m not bonkers. ❤

I've watched many videos on A.S. and they are very informative but few ever talk about pain control. In order to be able to do the exercises you need to stay healthy you have to be able actually do them. So many drs that I've had just want you to exercise yet they don't realize that when can barely get out of bed it's nearly impossible to do these exercises. This is one disease that should allow pain meds as a treatment. I basically laid on bed for four years because of pain, but now I have a dr who listens to me and with percocet my pain is lessened plus the ibuprofen helps with inflammation. I really wish these organizations would put a voice to the CDC and help fight against the prejudice that we receive with our disease if we ask to get pain med help.

i had burning and red eyes and peeling /itching skin for years some 12-15 years before the onset of joint/spine issues. i always thought it was due to sitting at a computer for 6-7 hrs a day and lack of sleep. this AS started a long time but i somehow managed to keep it at bay all that time. I think severe stress set it over the edge last august because it literally started as if a button was pressed
