Thank you this was very helpful. I followed your advice on this test and I was able to have it done. With the help of cardio risk I was also able to locate a testing site outside the San Francisco Bay area that was much more reasonable than its price.

Unfortunately The practitioners I visit were unfamiliar with this and seemed disinterested.

So with your help, I was able to better understand my results.

I’ve watched your videos since the shaky paper days and I’ve learned so much.

Thank you, this was a helpful conversation. It was interesting to see how you work through the labs on David's health journey.

I eat mostly animal protein and low healthy carbs, but My LDL went from 113 to 130 in a year. My doctor said stop eating red meat daily, which I was, eat it only once a week, and stop eating egg yolks.

Dearest Dr Brewer,
Thank you for the videos you put out that educates on the things our primary care doctors do not. My husband's doctor has not tested fasting insulins, ogtt or NMR. He took every brand of statins many years ago but could not tolerate the severe side effects. He had low testosterone during that time, as well. Of course, he was a carb addict and that was a big hurdle for him. A few years ago he got a calcium score of 500. That was scary! Last year he agreed to do Keto and lost 50 lb. He has added in more carbs to stabilize weight. His LDL is too high according to his doctor and she wants him to go see a cardiologist again and have another CAC score. His trig 95, hdl 50, total cholesterol 291, hmg A1c 5.6. He is due to get repeat blood work in 6 months. Wondering if we should do a cimt over another CAC score?

My CAC score 4 months ago was 7213 yes you read it right. LDL 5 months ago was 183 and total 256 hdl/tri ratio of 1.2, these numbers from Cleveland Heart Lab.
2 years carnivor and back then my ldl was 51 total of 129, had a stroke and a humongous vertigo episode. Now BP runs 95/58 to 109/65 . Taking 81 mg aspirin 5x week, .3 mg colchicine morning and evening and 5 mg of Cialis one time a day. A variety of amino acids and vitamins keep my electrolytes, balanced, and take lysine and proline to stop any LDL absorption in the endothelial.

Excellent discussion. Is CT calcium score read by a radiologist or computer?

My little a lipoprotein was in the 200’s but once I started Lipitor it went up to 320😭, my cardiologist told me it was going to happen. He didn’t explain anything to me. I don’t know what to eat. I’ve always ate low fat, a sweet potato almost everyday. He did say its my genetics and thats why I need to take a statin. I tried crestor, but had spasms so bad in my feet that it was so painful. Its just weird my lipoprotein little a went up once I started the cholesterol med. I did ask him if I can do anything to get it down and he said no, it’s genetics. If anyone knows anything to help please respond. Im a 50 yr old woman in menopause. I am exercising everyday. I would love to see what Dr Brewer eats in a day🤗 Thank you for the videos ❤️Christy

If calcified plaque is considered safe, is it a good idea to take k2 supplement, which moves the calcium out of the arteries ?

I was getting colonoscopies every 3 years and always had several polyps. I stopped eating red meat and my polyps quit growing. I have gone 10 years now and no polyps. I eat seafood and complex carbs. I avoid simple carbs as much as possible

The STELO over the counter does not show actual readings below 70. It is also not able to be calibrated. The readings show every 15 minutes instead of 3 min. $99 for a month. $89 if subscribed.

I changed my diet/life so I could be present to guide my children if they need/ask for my help & to see my grandchildren go to college/graduate/marry. Also concerned about what high insulin/glucose was doing to my brain & the resulting burden that it would put on my kids

My doctor told me that follow up calcium scores are not accurate if you are on statins. Is that true?

Doctors, has your patient had an ultrasound to rule out a genetic aortic aneurysm? Much sudden cardiac death in one family warrants that test too.
