This is actually consistent with how Vantage tactical work. As long as you have started the jump and have clear sight of Echo, you will just move around any obstacles, to a sensible degree. Which is kina wacky at times, if you hit your head on something or there are pipes in the way. Due to an upward arche of a tactical, you just wobble your way through, untill you either reach maximum air time and just flop (when you get caught on something) or reach Echo through obstacles.

Wonder how this interracts with
-Geyser rock tech that flings you.
-Getting punched, either before or during a pounce.
-The little change in frametime you get when a loot bin opens under you.
-Ping, loss/choke.

Great video mokey. The visuals on the pounce degree stuff was hard to do I'd imagine.

i feel like a way to “”balance”” out the removal of animation cancel would be to either make the tac recharge distance based like pathfinder or to maybe make revs arms go away after a set period of time in the air

A mini-game or tournament of Pathfinders grappling onto flying Revenant's would be insanely fun. Like a distance contest. See which Path/Rev duo can fling the farthest.

I only realized it was 25 minutes after the entire video was done. As always, very informative and interesting. The info I found the most helpful was about the re-attach floor as it gives some understanding of what is happening when I reattach.
