This is the fly that is one of the flies in holy trinity.
Pheasant tail, hares ear and prince or similar pattern... Basically dark peacock nymph.
Its so simple but it is such a great fish catcher.

In this lengthy video apart from tying he fly i will also talk about peacock feather and options in tying.

Thank you all for your support

Cheers
Vladimir

Hi again Vladimir, Thank you for another amazing tying lesson. The way you show how to reinforce your flies is the reason I started tying years ago. Commercial flies are just not as durable and you can only get what they offer unless you know someone that will custom tie for you. I have learned more watching you then in all the years I have been tying. My biggest struggle has been the proportions so I leave enough room for a clean compact head at the hook eye. Thank you for taking the time to explain thread placement and proportions. 👍

You never disappoint. Great teaching video. I look forward to your vids every week. Thank you for your time. I have incorporated your All arounder dubbing into many of my flies.

I really enjoy the detail that you go into on what is really a simple fly. But those little details add up to better flies all around and I still learn something each time. Thanks

Another great content. I always learn something new. As the saying goes ("it's what you learn, after you know everything, that really counts ")

Nice. Good explanation, good information. Will try to copy your fly and try them out in Belgium on the rivers.

Another great tie Vladimir. Great explanation on the use and differences of types of peacock herl. These are killer flies on the streams of Pennsylvania. I tie these for my boys that fish with me and everyone got a preference for a different tail color. I like pearl and floro orange. One guy likes red, another guy likes pink, and another likes chartreuse. What ever color they all work to Ripp them Lipps. Keep them videos coming my friend. Cheers!!!

Thanks for such an informative overview of the Peacock feather and its uses. I always learn something new from your videos and your flies are greatly loved down-under by Kiwi trout. I'm just battening down the hatches for the tail end of a cyclone and hoping it doesn't destroy the holding water in the local river for next week. Kind regards.

Excellent description of a feather! It drives me crazy when people (that sometimes should know better) use the wrong names for parts of a feather.

The fly looks great. One question, was the tailing material ice dubbing? Thanks!
