...Sorry Kim, the hubby wins this one!! For a road trip, 340m v. 270m* pair with faster charging (for now) is the dealbreaker, all other things being equal.

Bonus: more space between the mini you's.

Man, this is a good problem to have..: I’ll just alternate them…. For more roughing it, I’ll take the truck. For more smooth and chilled, I’ll take the Model X….

I do like road trips in my Model Y Performance as well, fun to drive. 😎

I'm on a roadtrip hitting every state in the US and uploading content as I go. The cybertruck is very useful if you use the outlets. You can bring a portable fridge/freezer, stove, rice cooker, kettle, etc. The bed if the weather is cool, but make sure you don't put anything water sensitive in the bed if you're expecting a lot of rain. If you want to, keep things away from the back and front of the bed and in a container that won't let water touch the bottom surface. Do those things and the cybertruck is amazing. I have free supercharging for a year. The charging is not an issue. I rest during the charging sessions and now with fsd it's even better!

Tough choice. If it were a camping trip, I'd take the beast. Practically anything else, I'd go with the X.

The range alone makes the Model X better for road trips.
Although this made me realize that the Model X has to be the least attention grabbing vehicle that has vertical doors since there’s so many of them by now. The Model X is a quirky vehicle as well yet it’s subtle.

neither, I need 500+ mile nominal range for towing … the current range of both the X and CT are a major disappointment for those of us planning on towing trailers

What type of trip?
CT for the terrain. X for the highway.

Model X for sure. Cyber truck FSD isn’t available yet. Need that for road trips more than anything else.

Tesla model x because it has more room and it’s a family suv and it is road trip perfect

We are looking at the Model X and also researching the Lucid Gravity. I don't consider the Cybertruck esthetic to be luxury. Also, I don't want our dog to ride in the bed of a truck.
