I use a similar hack, but instead I use melted wax on the stems. Bought the cheapest Amazon electric mini wax heater (for cosmetic use) and put some bees wax on the pot. It melts in 30 seconds and apply two coats to the end of the stem. It makes a huge difference

Can I use aluminun foil if I dont have plastic wrap at hand?

I'm usually cutting all the stems and putting the bananas in a sealed bag to help them ripen up faster, so this is a step in a different direction for a change.

I tried this on half my bananas and left the others. It made no difference at all and I wrapped the stems well. 😕

They come with the plastic wrap but still ripen very quickly

This does nothing cuz some bananas already come wrapped like this and it doesn’t make a difference. I guess you need them views tho 😂
