Carhartt is a brand that was originally made to provide blue collar workers with quality apparel that will last throughout the intense physical labor they do nearly every day. My dad owns many Carhartt things and they have lasted near as long as I've been on this planet. But trying to sell a lunch bag made from their canvas? I'm hoping it's a joke but I'm sure it's not. Most guys I know would use a tiny Igloo cooler or just an actual brown paper bag.

Heh. I’m an 80s child and I remember jeans and sweaters being pre-ripped and acid washed to make them look and feel much more worn out than they were. There was even a bit about it on Family Ties - Michael J. Fox’s Alex P. Keaton was amazed that his sister dropped an obscene amount of money on a ripped sweater while she insisted it was worth it because of the special way it was ripped.

Seeing Carhartt turn from a working class brand into a fashion brand kinda breaks my heart. I’m finally at a point in my life where I actually can save up and buy good quality clothes that I can use for years. I’m excited about that. That, AND I need clothes that can keep me warm/shed water, since I moved to Alaska.

Having a Carhartt jacket was a sort of hopeful “checklist” item for me, but once a brand starts focusing on fashion, then I can’t trust their quality (seam construction, materials, etc.) anymore. I can’t take a gamble on spending my savings on a jacket that might not keep me warm or last as long.

11:38 Okay tbf there are two different Sanrio characters on those cups, the "pink" one being My Melody and the "blue" one being Cinnamoroll. According to popularity polls + my own knowledge, Cinnamoroll is extremely popular while My Melody is very popular (within top 10). So, the only way this makes sense pricing-wise is the My Melody cups being more rare because less were made because she's a less popular character. It'd be more understandable if this were Chococat or even My Sweet Piano, or whichever actually less popular/niche Sanrio character were on the cups. With that being said, double the price for essentially the same thing is scammy behavior (especially for the quantity seen, they have plenty of each character's cup, yeesh).
