Ange would be mad to leave Celtic for Spurs (and here's an example of why)

''On 19 November 2019, Pochettino was sacked, being replaced the following day by José Mourinho.
However, after only 17 months in charge, Mourinho was relieved of his duties on 19 April 2021 after a spate of losses and a disappointing second half of the 2020–21 season.
Former player Ryan Mason served as an interim manager for the rest of the season, losing to Manchester City in the 2021 League Cup final 0–1.

On 30 June 2021, Levy appointed Nuno Espírito Santo as the head coach on a two-year deal.
Nuno was sacked on 1 November 2021 following a run of poor results which saw Tottenham lose four out of six previous Premier League games.
On 2 November 2021, Levy appointed Antonio Conte as the new head coach on an 18-month deal, with an option to extend further.
The team's form improved under Conte and resulted in Tottenham qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
However, he was sacked in March 2023 following a run of poor results and Champions League elimination at the hands of Milan.
Conte's assistant, Cristian Stellini, was appointed as interim manager with the intention of finishing the season, but was sacked himself following a 6-1 defeat to Newcastle. Ryan Mason returned in his stead. ''

Aw man I’m trying not to think about the unthinkable! Paul I agree with you, it would be very difficult for Ange to turn down an offer from Spurs, but what a statement it would make if he did. I’ve always thought Ange will feel like he owes the club something for the faith we showed in him initially, I guess it just boils turn to whether 2 seasons is enough to repay that.
And yes kick off time is ridiculous! Half past midnight here in Aus 😢

Ange has had plenty of chances this week to put fans minds at ease but hasn't done so. To me that implies he is going but he doesn't want his decision to over shadow the cup final so will make the announcement after the final. We would all love him to stay but can't deny him the chance to manage one of the big clubs in the biggest league.

Biggest problem with Ange going to Spurs, is how cut throat it is, Mourinho and Conte failed, he could be out by xmas even if he just mid table, who wants that certainty, especially when he is settled at Celtic and would never be fired !!

To make things worse I am very concerned of the fact that Tottenham need a striker. Kyogo. And they need a creative number 8/10. Hatate.😭

If Tottenham offer him the job, and he were to reject it, what would that do to his focus at Celtic? How much would that play on his mind? Would he think the door would be closed on managing in a major league with a strong moneyed club? I don’t his age is an issue as yet, but I notice say it is. Will Celtic then becomes his last major club?

Plenty of reason for Ange to stay..we havent won a UCL game at Parkhead in 10 years..not reached the knockout stage in 10 years..havent won a european knockout tie in almost 20 years..he still has a chance to take this team further at Celtic & make more history..Spurs are going the opposite direction - no europe, their big players will leave & their board are poison..i would hope he learns from Rodgers, Slippy G, Neil Lennon etc that the grass isnt greener down there..

Why Ange might stay imho:
- Health concerns make Tottenham Hotspur hot seat inadvisable.
- Family by all accounts* settled which is all a family man can hope for.
- Even after breaking out onto the European scene, he’s still divisive at best amongst the Spurs fanbase in particular, but moreover Premier League fans in general. Proving your doubters wrong isn’t nearly as fun as it’s made out to be. Especially when your track record should’ve humbled them already.
- He doesn’t want to be pivotal for the momentum swinging back to dishonourable novice Micky Beale and classless Rangers*. One more successful Celtic season should see his and their creeping aura vanish. Especially with the countless H2H records up for grabs next season alone. On this front 23/24 is in a fairly unique position.

*Speculation, granted. But it feels grounded, even when being objective.
