In a right triangle with the sides a and b, and the hypotenuse c, the sum of the squares of the sides a and b equals the square of the hypotenuse c.
a^2+b^2=c^2
When given sides a and b, we can find the hypotenuse c by first solving the formula for c.
When given the sides b and c, we can find side a by first solving the formula for a.
When given the sides a and c, we can find side b by first solving the formula for b.
