Hi, Alex. Quick question; how can the cops prove that the guy was drunk if they arrested him at home and not while he was behind the wheel? Lets say he started drinking as soon as he got home.

First, glad nothing happened to you. Although I wouldn't personally put myself in front of a moving vehicle for various reasons, I can't call you crazy for doing so given your knowledge of what you knew was about to go down. I would've snapped a pic of the license plate and a quick video if possible and let the police take it from there.
