Team USA Wins Gold at 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship

The U.S. National Junior Team defeated Finland, 4-3 in overtime to capture gold at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship! Teddy Stiga tallied the golden goal to give the U.S. their first ever back-to-back World Junior title.

The growth of the game in the U.S. in the past 20 years has brought players from the sunbelt and alot of Canadians have played in the states and promoted the game and are system. Gretzky would be the beginning of it. I will say this The OHL and the WHL and the Q in Canada still have great hockey system. Simply all nations have caught up to us and American college hockey is excellent and being a hot bed for drafting. Congratulations to the U.S. team and staff. Class act and we'll deserved back to back victories. 🤘 2:46

USA had so many shots in that OT. I was going to be really sad if Finland got a lucky one in after USA had basically controlled the OT and had so many chances.
